Bells captures the innate need of a woman to build, nurture and foster connections. A rapturous ensemble that showcases that indomitable spirit of Kathak, the dance begins with an ode to the meditative transcendence of the individual as a seeker. And yet, no woman is an island: the cadence of her search is elevated when she reaches out, when she builds and becomes too, a bridge. The music is a striking tintinnabulation of different kinds of bells that spontaneously create subtle rhythmic variations.
